The mission of this Foundation is to make a positive impact on the lives of our troops, our veterans, and their families. We are here to serve the heroes who have sacrificed so much to enable all of us to enjoy the freedoms that we have today. There is nothing more fundamental to our country than the freedom that these Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen provide. The Food Industry is a natural partner in supporting their basic needs.

Within the Museum walls, the weapons, uniforms and other artifacts carried or worn by Kansas Guardsmen from the Civil War to the Gulf War are proudly displayed. These artifacts paint a picture of the Kansas citizen-soldier from the early and bloody days of the birth of our state, to today's Guard mission in a highly volatile and dangerous world.

Em's Spotlight, a non-profit foundation was started in memory of Emily, whose dream was to bring the joy of dance to children with limited opportunities. She believed all children should have the chance to experience dance not just the privileged, long-legged beauties. Her dream has turned into a foundation that gives children with limited opportunities the possibility to make a dream come true through several dance programs.
